"I can't recommend Howard's E-books enough. They are packed with great tips that photographers of all experience will benefit from. Each tip is well explained and accompanied by great photos to illustrate the point. I especially enjoyed the way the ebooks do not follow a pattern from least to most experienced."

"There is something for everyone here and if you are like me and want to continuously improve your photography, then I strongly recommend getting your copy of Howard's 2 ebooks regardless of your skill level in bird photography. It was a pleasure to read and I picked up a heap of new useful information that I plan to put into practice when I'm next out."

"On The Wing" by Howard Loosemore is a beautifully presented two volume E-Book set comprised of the author's top 100 tips for improving your bird photography. Howard's tips are based on years of personal experience spent photographing birds in the broadest range of environments and attaining a level of photographic excellence.

"On the Wing" is easily the most practical bird photography book I have ever read with content relevant to all types of camera gear and levels of experience. Each tip is clearly presented with examples and can be applied across a wide range of situations to yield a noticeable improvement to your images. As a fellow bird photographer I note with interest that many of the tips are things I instinctively do myself having learnt the hard way over many years what works and what doesn't.

"On the Wing" would be of enormous benefit to those just beginning in bird photography but is also for those more experienced, offering the perspective of an excellent photographer and a structured list of reminders and things to experiment with and try when you are next out in the field or behind the computer.

Example Tip

Here's a sneak pick of Tip 16 - How to shoot sharp images of birds every time!

Tip 16 -

If I get one question more than any other regarding bird photography it’s how can I shoot sharper? Everyone wants to shoot sharper and bring out all that beautiful plumage detail right. The problem is there’s no “magic bullet” rather shooting sharp involves the consistent application of many elements. Here are my top 15 things to do to improve the sharpness of your bird images.

1) Use a camera with lots of pixels. Many modern mirror and mirrorless cameras now offer 45-60 megapixels. Be careful however as more pixels capture more detail and will soon show up any defect in your technique so if you don’t apply the tips below more megapixels per se will result in “softer” images not sharper ones.

2) Get close to birds. This usually involves patience, caution, and or hiding.

3) Use the best quality stiffest monopod or tripod you can afford. I write at length about this in Tip 94 of Vol. 2 of my E-Book.

4) Get your shutter speed up (see Tip 1) ..........
